On the buses…
At a dinner in Davos, Hilary Cottam raised the question what is good design – the old routemaster which looks great but is hard for most people to use? Or the new bendy bus which has improved travel for the majority, but is regularly villified by cyclists and citizens alike. Is good design just in the eye of the beholder? We think not– good design is about the whole system or experience – the people who use the bus, the process of travelling as well as the product – the bus. Read about the debate here
