About This Site
It's all about you...
A very small part of this site is dedicated to talking about ourselves. It is designed to communicate our work with the specific intention of encouraging discussion and development of the problems that exist within it. We try and make our work as open source as possible, firmly believing that a small group of individuals in South London can only do so much. We hope that by opening our work up to the widest possible comments and scrutiny, we will foster a culture of online co-creation.
The philosophy around this site takes into account the following:
- The Our Projects section contains various sub-sections (like Ageing, Youth etc.) that each have their own blog. It is here that we discuss our work, in progress, as it happens, to canvas widespread and public opinion. We invite everyone to comment on our work, as well as post interesting ideas that relate to the given blog area. The content of these blogs will inform the direction of our projects. In these blogs, we also post interesting ideas and new services found;
- The P’articles section is where we try and publish larger ‘thought pieces’ to push forward radical thinking on how to build the next generation of the UK’s welfare state. It too contains the functionality to comment, and here we hope to collaboratively build a picture of the new welfare state;
- If you don’t feel inclined to contribute to the above sections, we hope that the Participate section will encourage you to participate in other ways;
- This site is aimed at the general public, service users and service providers. Documents can also be downloaded that will satisfy the needs of policy specialists. It is our firm belief that non-specialist service users have the great insights in how to develop our work;
Many thanks to Atto and Front for the design and construction of this website.
